What is the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test?

The CITB Health, Safety and Environment test (commonly referred to as the CSCS test) is administered through the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board).

CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry. CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.

Most principal contractors and major house builders require construction workers on their sites to hold a valid CSCS card.

You can access information on which card is right for you by visiting the Card Finder page on the CSCS website.

Those requiring a Green Labourers Card will need to have a Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification. If you do not have this qualification you will need to undertake relevant training such as the QNUK Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (RQF) of which we can provide.
